In this hot and rough month of August, we're happy to share some news that made us spring out of our beds with a smile. Crescendo Giocoso Ritornello is one of the five nominees for the Indie Ground Breaker Awards, in the Game of the Year category.

This is the latest in a long series of pleasant payoffs that this project and the community experience of Laiv.it have brought us.  Now our conventions, Chambercon and Freeform, are close to their tenth anniversary; the LarpJam game design workshop gets more and more people involved; and, partly thanks to the contributions of other communities, we feel less alone in our efforts to keep "chamber larp" alive in our country.

This strange beast is "Not a dog. Not a wolf. All it knows is what it's not". But thanks to the enthusiasm of everyone in our Orchestra it takes on its own form, ever more definite and at the same time ever more different, unpredictable. Seeing our unidentified gaming objects being born, growing up and "seeking fortune overseas" is a constant source of pride. Knowing there are players and even juries that find something special in the things we made together is moving. Especially because a collection with no single genre or theme, with games in an uncommon format, requires the most precious thing in existence to be appreciated: time.

So thank you to the thirty-plus member of our Italian & International Chamber Orchestra for giving their time to these small, great games. Thanks to the whole Laiv.it community for contributing to their refinement. Thanks to the supporters of both our Kickstarter campaigns for making Crescendo Giocoso possible. And thanks to the Indie Game Developer Network for this show of esteem.
